Leona G. Hays

Leona G. Hays, 83, of Bertram passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at her residence. 
Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Bertram. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Bertram with Pastor Gordon Bergstom officiating. Burial will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram.
Leona was born on June 7, 1938, to George and Francis Tymrak in Terrell, Texas. She married Andrew Hays on September 9, 1969. Leona worked most of her life as a CNA. She enjoyed board games, word searches, listening to classic county music, and eating at Dairy Queen. She loved most of all being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Hays on April 24, 1996; her son, Jimmy Bujnoch, her daughters, Etheleen Rose Bujnoch, and Connie Faye Turegano.
Leona is survived by her children, Andrew “A.J.” Jackson Hays Jr. and wife, Tabatha, Charlie Dean Hays, Amanda Hays Hill and husband, Steve, Dorothy Polasek, Robyn Ann Bohac, Brenda Ann, Norma Jean Amaro, and Barbara Deann Gibson; twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous cherish family members and friends. 
Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton, Texas.
