Laurieta Zann Alexander

March 11, 1958 — December 13, 2024

Laurieta Zann Alexander, affectionately known as Zann, was born on March 11, 1958, in Hutchinson, Kansas, and departed this earthly realm on December 13, 2024, in Killeen, Texas, surrounded by her beloved family.

Zann dedicated her professional life to the field of accounting, notably serving within the Kansas Prison System. Her meticulous nature and keen understanding of finance showcased her commitment to integrity and service throughout her career.

In her personal life, Zann was a vivacious spirit who found joy in the simple pleasures that life offered. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the thrill of Bingo, and had a penchant for visiting casinos, necessitating a stop in Oklahoma on every road trip she undertook. These hobbies reflected her zest for life and her love for both leisure and adventure.

Zann's pride and joy stemmed from her family, which served as the cornerstone of her existence. She is survived by her loving mother, Rosalea (Brice-Nash) Russell of Kansas; two devoted daughters, Shonleigh Green and her wife Tia of Killeen, and Crystal McFadden of Kansas; and two sons, Richard Hunt of Kansas and Carl (CJ) Alexander of Missouri. Additionally, she leaves behind three sisters, Linda Gillam, Robbie Scott, and Beth Elaine (Russell) Greenfield, as well as a brother, Brice Freeman. Her legacy thrives through her seven grandchildren: Joshuajoel, Mykal, Anthany, Amiya, Colten, Rayne, and Sam, along with four cherished great-grandchildren: Drayven, Zella, Oaklyn, and Kohen.

Zann was preceded in death by her father, William Robert Rash, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.

As we celebrate the life of Laurieta Zann Alexander, we remember a woman whose spirit shone brightly, and whose heart was vast enough to embrace all who knew her.

May her memory live on in the hearts of those she loved and cherished.
