Landon Dean Kinsey age 17, of Troy, touched the lives of many with his kind heart and willingness to help others. Born on September 13, 2006, in Waco, Texas, he unexpectedly left us on May 27, 2024.
Landon's proudest accomplishment was graduating a year early from Reclaim Academy. He was set to graduate in just two more weeks. He had dreams of furthering his education at TSTC in Waco to pursue his goal of becoming a diesel mechanic. In a touching gesture of love and respect, his mother will walk the stage in his place to accept his diploma.
Landon worked at McDonalds and Sonic in Robinson, where he not only served customers with a smile but also gained friendships with his fellow coworkers. Landon also went the extra mile to assist neighbors with yard work and any task that was needed. He was known for his outgoing nature, caring attitude, and challenging spirit. He had a kind heart that endeared him to everyone he met. His love for outdoor activities like fishing and hunting, as well as tinkering with his truck and RC cars, illuminated his passion for life.
Landon leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who survive him. Among those mourning his loss are his mother, Crystal Nichole Zimmerman and stepfather, Jordan Kyle Swain; his father, Dustin Dewayne Kinsey, Sr; his grandmother, Tanya Rosas; his sisters, Joleigh Caroline Zimmerman and Addison Grace Zimmerman; along with aunts and uncles, Brandy Rhoades, Shelby Hill and her husband, Khiry, Sarah Kinsey, Clint Kinsey and his wife, Christina, Chad and his wife, Elizabeth Austin, and Colton Steinke, many cherished cousins, family members, and friends who held a special place in Landon's heart.
Landon was greeted in Heaven by his brother, Dustin "DJ" Kinsey Jr; grandparents, Joe Rosas, Bill and Kathleen Adams, and Larry Steinke; great grandparents, Gary and Barbara Coleman, Felix and Evelyn Steinke, and Dudley and Doris Austin; as well as his uncle, Eric Kinsey.
In remembrance of Landon Dean Kinsey, a visitation will be held at Victorious Life Church in Robinson on June 3, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by funeral services on June 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location with Pastor Tom Warnock officiating. His burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.
