Kiersten Nichole Kinsey, age 18 of Troy, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, passed away on May 27, 2024 leaving her friends and family heartbroken. She was born on September 1, 2005, in Waco, Texas. Kiersten's smile lit up any room she entered and memories of all the fun times with her will be cherished always.
Kiersten was known for her loving, outgoing, and caring personality. She had a passion for taking selfies, crafting shirts and pens, being a big sister, trying new styles with her hair and makeup, and most of all, spending quality time with her friends and family. She found happiness in the simple moments shared with her loved ones.
She accomplished many things in her young life; graduating from Troy High School in 2022 was one of her proudest moments. Kiersten had just completed a Medical Assistant Associates Program and was eagerly looking forward to pursuing her nursing degree at Temple College in the fall. She worked at the Dollar General in Troy and her coworkers were like family to her.
Kiersten leaves behind cherished family and friends that will forever miss her. Among those mourning her loss are her mother, Crystal Nichole Zimmerman and Stepfather, Jordan Kyle Swain; her father, Dustin Dewayne Kinsey Sr; her grandmother, Tanya Rosas; her sisters, Joleigh Caroline Zimmerman and Addison Grace Zimmerman; along with her aunts and uncles, Brandy Rhoades, Shelby Hill and her husband, Khiry, Sarah Kinsey, Clint Kinsey and his wife, Christina, Chad and his wife, Elizabeth Austin, and Colton Steinke, her best friend and cousin, Lexi "Lu Lu" Dobbs, many cherished cousins, family members, and friends who held a special place in Kiersten's heart.
Kiersten was greeted in Heaven by her brother, Dustin "DJ" Kinsey Jr; grandparents, Joe Rosas, Bill and Kathleen Adams, and Larry Steinke; great grandparents, Gary and Barbara Coleman, Felix and Evelyn Steinke, and Dudley and Doris Austin; as well as his uncle, Eric Kinsey.
The visitation for Kiersten will take place on June 3rd at Victorious Life Church in Robinson, Texas, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Her funeral service will be held on June 4, 2024 at Victorious Life Church at 2:00 PM followed by the burial at Waco Memorial Park at 3:00 PM.
Kiersten touched the hearts of all who knew her with her kindness, love, and compassion. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her bright spirit that continues to shine through those whose lives she touched.
