Kathleen Ann Steger, 65 of Belton, was born on September 8, 1959, in the town of Youngstown, Ohio, began her journey through life with an admirable spirit that would leave a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. She was welcomed in Heaven on January 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, laughter, and resilience.
A viewing for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with her service to follow from 7:00 PM to 8:00 P.M. at Agape Christian Center in Belton.
Kathleen’s career was as colorful as her personality. She contributed over 10 years of service as a Manager for Albertson's, demonstrating an unwavering commitment and admirable work ethic. Her tenacity continued at Friend Tire, where she spent over two decades, followed by her time with Danhil Containers in Temple. Each role she undertook reflected her passion for excellence and her love for connecting with those around her.
Kathleen is remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her vibrant spirit. Her laughter, a contagious smile, lit up rooms and hearts alike, while her love for everyone enriched her relationships. A woman of profound courage and passion, Kathleen embraced life with a loving and funny nature that endeared her to many. Her interests spanned a wide array, including her cherished moments playing Bingo, nurturing her love for animals, engaging with friends, delving into novels, and expressing her creativity through crafting and sewing. She found joy in dancing and held an unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys, each interest weaving beautifully into the fabric of her life.
Kathleen took immense pride in her children, their accomplishments reflecting her dedication as a mother and her impact as a guiding light in their lives. She leaves behind her beloved son Monte Ray Montanye of Belton, her daughters Cheryl Linn Roberts of Augusta, GA, and Monica Renee Steger of Killeen. Additionally, she is survived by her cherished brothers Frank Connolly and his wife Bev of Copperas Cove, and Bill Connolly and his wife Alice of Yakima, WA. Kathleen was adored by her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each a testament to her nurturing spirit, and she held dear countless cherished family members and friends.
She was always grateful to the Barrington Apartments community where she spent many years, and her family is very thankful for the emergency staff at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.
She now joins her parents, Francis and Joann Connolly, her husband, Dennis Steger, and her brothers, Stephen Connolly and Charles Connolly in eternal rest, their legacy continuing through the lives she touched. The warmth of Kathleen's heart and the brilliance of her spirit will forever echo in the memories of those who loved her.
