Kastady Ann Smith, age 37, was born on January 19, 1988, in Nashville, TN. She was taken from this world far too early on Friday, January 24, 2025, at her home Temple, Texas. She was a beacon of love and joy, cherished by all who knew her. Kastady's life revolved around her family, especially her beloved sons, Rohde Owen Smith and Colt Arden Smith, who were her pride and joy. To Kastady, being a "boy mom" was not just a title; it was the greatest accomplishment of her life, and she poured her heart into nurturing their dreams and celebrating their triumphs.
Kastady attended Belton ISD for most of her education and graduated from Troy High School in 2006. She went on to serve in Administration at Belton High School. It was a role that she embraced with passion and dedication, forging strong bonds with her fellow staff members, who became like family to her. Her colleagues will always remember her laughter and spirit, as they navigated the joys and challenges of school life together.
A true lover of life, Kastady had an infectious enthusiasm that lit up her surroundings. Whether it was a night spent playing card games and board games with family and friends or cheering wildly from the stands at her boys’ sporting events, Kastady brought a vibrant energy wherever she went. Her competitive nature mingled beautifully with a sense of fun, as her joyful laughter would echo around them when she claimed victory. She found immense joy in the simple moments, like sharing stories about her boys' successes or recounting the funny things they did, each memory etched in her heart.
Kastady's zest for life was complemented by a love for reading, watching her favorite shows and movies, her favorite band of all time was Good Charlotte, and an unwavering affection for Disney, which resonated with her heart of a child. Her favorite color, neon green, reflected her bright personality, and she was known for having a stash of candy nearby—a little sweet treat that matched her delightful spirit.
Kastady's bond with her family was unbreakable. She is survived by her mother, Jeri Lynn Underhill of Belton; her brothers, Clifton Wayne Rich of Temple and Thomas Everette Rich of Georgetown, her grandmother Patricia Diane Rye; alongside her two cherished sons, Rohde and Colt, who are left to carry on her legacy of love and joy.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carolyn Kay Scott and Everett Ray Scott.
