Jose Navejas

Jose Navejas, 82, of Temple passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 in the comfort of his home. Jose was born to Ines Navejas and Cesaria Cruz on June 27, 1937 in Mexico. Jose worked as a farmer, growing both corn and beans. He also enjoyed basket weaving and spending time with his family. A visitation for Jose will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home, with a rosary service from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Armando Aguirre reciting to follow. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Crotty Funeral Home with a precession to North Belton Cemetery to follow. Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Navejas; his sons, Joel Navejas of Belton and Juan Navejas of Fredericksburg; his daughters, Maria Lydia Navejas of Belton, Tere Herrera of Temple, and Dora Isela Duron of Belton; his seventeen grandchildren; and his ten great grandchildren. Jose is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
