JoAnn Elizabeth McIntire, aged 75, passed away peacefully January 19, 2025, in Temple, Texas. Born on May 19, 1949, in San Diego, California, JoAnn's vibrant spirit and loving heart touched the lives of many throughout her remarkable journey.
For an impressive 34 years, JoAnn dedicated herself to her career as a head teller with First Texas Bank in Copperas Cove, where she was known not only for her skill and professionalism but also for her kindness and the personal connections she forged with everyone she encountered. Her colleagues admired her unwavering commitment to her work, but her greatest passion lay in her family.
JoAnn loved her family more than anything in the world. She was married to her beloved husband Daniel McIntire, having met him at the Copperas Cove Bowling Alley in 1983. Their love blossomed, culminating in a joyful marriage in 1985. Together, they shared many happy moments, often found country dancing and enjoying the vibrancy of life. Fridays and Saturdays were reserved for bowling, where her laughter and spirited energy could always be felt.
JoAnn is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel; her two sons, Kevin Walker and his wife Claudia, and Eric Walker; two stepdaughters, RuthAnn Flowers and Sara McIntire; and her cherished nine grandchildren: Rebekah Walker, Joshua Walker, Aiden Walker, Lexi Walker, Jaicey Burdine, Kierston Breedlove and her husband Dameon, Katelyn McIntire, Daniel McIntire, and Alanna Johnson. She was also a proud great-grandmother to little Cooper Breedlove, who brought immense joy to her heart.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Robert Duffy. While her physical presence may have left this world, the warmth of her love and the countless memories she's created will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of compassion and joy will always be remembered and cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her.
