Joann Garner

Patsy “Joann” Garner, 63, of Moody passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at an Austin hospital.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday September 17, 2021 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening September 16, 2021 at Crotty Funeral Home.

Joann was born on August 17, 1958 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Joe and Patsy Lundry Virgin. She graduated high school and worked as an operator for phone systems. She married Robert Garner on January 3, 1988 after 33 years of marriage he preceded her in death on February 15, 2021.

Joann was a two time breast cancer and two time heart attack survivor. She was the definition of a true soldier and what it meant to provide for her family no matter what. Joann was a hard worker dedicated to do things the right way.  She loved her children and spending time with her family and friends. She also collected anything Pooh Bear.

Survivors are her son, Matthew Kirby of Moody; one daughter, Lee Neal of Bartlett; one brother, Michael Weston of Brookland, AR.; two sisters, Shari Bates of Williford, AR. and Debbie Rudesill of Jonesboro,AR; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations  for her services.

Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
