Jessie Simmons

Jessie Cecil Simmons, 72, of Austin passed away at Baylor Scott & White, Round Rock, TX, early Monday morning, Feb. 21, 2022. He was born July 7,1949 in Dime Box, TX to the late Doris Simmons and Leonard Burns.

Jessie graduated high school from Dime Box High School, Dime Box, TX.

He was employed by Claude Allen Specialized House Leveling Foundation Repair and Concrete for over 25+ years in which he had great friendship with the owner, the late Claude E. Allen, Sr.

Jessie is survived by his daughter’s Latrice Bowman (Broderick), Pflugerville, TX and Symanthia Simmons, Dime Box, TX; one grandchild Dearius Hodge (Dime Box, TX); sisters Willie Mae Johnson and Amanda Davis (Austin, TX), Pamela Mack and Doris Holiday (Temple, TX). He also has a host of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, sister’s Mattie Roberson, Mary Mayberry and brother’s Raymond Simmons and L.C. Simmons.

Jessie loved the Dallas Cowboys, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends.
