Jean Ann Lynch

August 10, 1942 — April 22, 2025

Jean Ann Lynch lived her 82 years with remarkable courage and kindness.

She was born in San Francisco, California, on August 10, 1942, to Kenneth E. and Jean G. Miller. An “Army brat”, her early years were spent in such diverse places as Japan, Fort Sam Houston, and Lodi, California.

A 1964 graduate of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Jean was active in her college community, even serving as President of Alpha Psi Omega, a drama sorority.

Later, her artistic and organizational skills channeled her to own and to operate James Frames, an art supply/ framing shop in both Terrell Hills and Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her little brother Ken Miller and by her ex-husband James P. Lynch. Numerous relatives in Washington State, New Jersey, Oregon, and Rockport, Texas, mourn her passing, including her sister Debra in Arizona.

During retirement in Belton, Jean Ann enjoyed reading, archiving family history, treasure hunting at garage sales, tending her cats, and walking. For many years at dawn, she would stroll to the banks of Nolan Creek in Yettie Polk Park to feed ducks and geese. She always celebrated special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations) with a card or gift for family, friends and neighbors.

Jean Ann passed away on April 22, 2025. Embodying the noblest attributes of American women of her generation, Jean’s very proper ladylike presence will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers please go to a park, pond, creek, somewhere there are ducks and geese and toss some seeds to them in her memory
