Janette N. Watt, age 85, of Belton, passed away on Tuesday, January 17. 2022 at a local nursing home.
A graveside memorial service for Janette will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at North Belton Cemetery with Steven Puckett officiating.
Janette N. Watt was born on July 19, 1937, to Jack and Margaret Nichols in Caldwell, Texas. She married John Watt in April of 1983. Janette was voted Miss Central Texas in 1955. She attended Belton High School and graduated in 1956. Janette worked as a bookkeeper until she retired in 2012. She enjoyed caring for her family, fishing, cooking, gardening, sewing, spending time at the beach, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Watt on December 21, 1986, and her beloved son, Craig Bailey on March 26, 2014, and her sister, Barbara Kizer on September 15, 2019.
Janette is survived by her son, Scott Bailey of Belton; her daughters, Kimala Wilson and husband, Chuck of Gatesville and Teresa Hosch of Belton; her brother, Donnie Quinn of Temple; her sisters, DeLois Shed of Salado, Melissa Nichols of Temple, and Elizabeth Brackett of Troy; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
