With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of James 'Jim' Clemens, who passed away on May 20, 2024, at 73. Jim was born to Emily and Robert Clemens on April 25, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York.
Jim dedicated over 50 years to a successful career as a stone mason, where he was known for his integrity, craftsmanship, and leadership throughout the Central Texas community.
Jim was an avid gardener, a talented woodworker, scuba diver, and a loving family man. He could be found on the farm, tending to his animals or working on various projects. His kindness, strength, and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Margie Clemens; his daughter, Michelle Clemens; grandson, Maxwell Morrison; brother, Michael Clemens; sister, Gloria; husband, Joe Ingegno; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Emily and Robert Clemens, his brother Bobby Clemens and sisters, Sissy Scorcia and June Bonachi.
A service will be held on May 29, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Christ Episcopal Church in Temple. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jim's life and legacy. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to the Operation Feeding Temple or Christ Church Community Garden in Jim's honor.
The family wishes to express profound gratitude to the Baylor Scott & White Health staff team for their unwavering support and exceptional care during Jim's final days. Their dedication and compassion were a source of comfort during a difficult time.
