James ""Jimmy"" Keith Benson

James "Jimmy" Keith Benson, 47, of salado passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017. Jimmy was born on May 16, 1970 to John and Debra (Sudderth) Benson in LaCrosse, WI. He loved fishing, cooking, barbecuing , making people laugh, and his family. Jimmy was known for having the biggest heart and will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra (Sudderth) Benson and his brother, Jared Benson. Jimmy is survived by his two daughters, kayla and Haley benson of Belton; his stepson, Cody Brooks of Belton; his father, John Benson and Stepmom, Barbara Benson of Salado; his brothers, Jim Campbell of Belton and Stephen Campbell of Salado;his sister, Stacey Mack of Red Oak; his loving life companion, Melissa Smith of Salado; his nieces, Brandy Brazeal of Irving, Brandy York of Little River, Summer Campbell of Little River, Tory Campbell of Little River, Samantha Jackson of Dallas; Nephews, Jay Benson of Salado,J.R. Brazeal of Mississippi, James Campbell of Belton, and Danny Jackson of Odessa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton with Pastor H.K. Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunshine Cemetery in Holland.
