Israel Serrano Cruz

Israel Serrano Cruz,69, of Killeen passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at a local hospital. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton. Israel was born on April 21, 1949 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Jose Serrano and Carmen Cruz. He worked as in Janitorial and maintenance most of his life and several years for the New York City Housing Authority. Israel married Nancy Marquez on August 25, 1991 in Puerto Rico. He enjoyed salsa music, fishing, baseball, and spending time with his family. Israel was an outgoing family man and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Marquez of Copperas Cove; his sons, Israel Serrano Jr. of New York, Eric Jose Serrano of Florida, and Jose Israel Serrano of New York; his daughters, Amanda Marie Serrano of New York, Erica Ann Serrano of Virginia, April Lourdes Serrano of Copperas Cove, and Zaida Iris Serrano of Virginia; his brothers, Moises N. Serrano, Moises Serrano, all of Isabela, PR, Jose Antonio Delgado of Adjuntas; his sisters, Edia De La Rosa ,Carmen Luz Hernandez, Myriam Serrano, Sara Milca Salamanca, Zaida Ivette Lopez, Eunice S. Osorio, all of Isabela, fifteen grandchildren, and one great grandchildren. Not to be forgotten, he is survived by many in laws and nieces and nephews throughout the country that loved him, and a special mention to his nephew Billy that shared a special bond with him.
