Ileana Mae Ramirez

Ileana Mae Ramirez, 15, of Temple went to the comforting arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 15, 2018 after complications due to a recent bone marrow transplant. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton with Pastor Ray Ashby officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to services from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Ileana was the oldest daughter of Ruben and Sabrina Ramirez. She was born on February 11, 2003 in Fort Hood. As a baby ""George Strait- I Cross My Heart"" was the only song that would put her to sleep. Over four years ago Ileana was diagnosed with MDS and after several treatments, she beat it. Ileana was always strong and just received her green belt in Tae Kwon Do before her last treatment. Ileana attended Belton New Tech High School and was in the tenth grade. She never let her illness take her spirit and enjoyed volunteering at McLane's Children's Hospital and was on the Teen Advisory Board. Ileana loved her dog, Lucy and spending time with her family. Her family and friends will be honoring her by wearing her favorite color blue at her funeral services. She is survived by her loving mother Sabrina Ramirez of Temple; her father, Ruben Ramirez of El Paso; her sister, Bella Ramirez of Temple and her grandmother, Kathleen Hall of Killeen.
