Hilda May Earliwine

Hilda May Earliwine, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2024, in Moody, Texas. Born on November 5, 1934, in Nutter Fort, West Virginia, Hilda was a remarkable woman whose caring and selfless nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Hilda dedicated many years of her life to serving as a bus driver for Malone Independent School District, where she made countless memories with the children she transported. Additionally, her compassionate spirit shone brightly in her role as a caretaker, providing love and support to those around her. Her heart always belonged to her family, who were her pride and joy. Hilda's proudest accomplishments are reflected in the legacy of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Hilda exemplified strength and resilience throughout her life. Beyond her professional achievements, she delighted in her hobbies, including crocheting, working puzzles, and cherishing the moments spent with her family. Her nurturing personality created a warm and inviting home where laughter and love thrived. Hilda enjoyed volunteering in her community with Helping Hands Ministry, Local Fire Departments, baking cookies for soldiers, and any where her giving heart felt drawn to. 

Hilda is survived by her son Troy Earliwine and wife Nancy; her daughter Cathy Williams and husband Clay and, her bonus daughter Debbie White. She was a cherished grandmother to Stacey Cornett and husband Bill, Christopher White, Michael Earliwine and wife Kristen, Jennifer Guerra and husband Greg, Irae Reitzer and husband Russell, Bonnie Christman and husband Ricky, Danielle Goates and husband Corbin, Ashton Earliwine, and her cherished seventeen great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Earliwine; her parents, Ohlen and Mattie Heck; bonus son, David Earliwine;  siblings, Helen Hayes, Betty Price, Coralee Reed, Ohlen Heck,Jr., Delores Sapp and Barbara Hayes. 

Hilda's visitation will be held on January 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, both at the First Baptist Church of Moody, located at 300 Avenue E, Moody, TX.

Her legacy of love, warmth, and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Hilda May Earliwine will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories and love she so freely gave.
