Helen Jo Baker, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 77 in Nolanville, TX. Born on September 8, 1947, in Brownwood, TX, where she spent her days on the 2000 acre ranch in the saddle with her ranch hand dad El Pinson. Helen's life was a testament to her faith-filled spirit and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life.
A graduate of Santa Anna High School in 1966, Helen went on to become a highly respected head accountant, working with various local car dealerships including Ford, GM, Buick, and Kia. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering work ethic left an indelible mark on the industry and those who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
Helen's passion extended beyond her professional life into her personal interests. She was an avid yard seller, always on the lookout for hidden treasures and the next great find. Her love for plants and animals showcased her nurturing nature, as she tended to her plants and pets with care and devotion. Above all, Helen cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and family, creating memories that will be forever held close to their hearts.
She navigated the world with a loving heart, extending her generosity to all who knew her. Helen's faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and triumphs with grace and resilience. Her presence was a comforting constant, a source of strength and love that drew people together.
Helen is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ralph Baker; her son, Scotty White and his wife Mindy; her step-son, Christopher Baker and his wife Jing; her cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby, and Abigail; as well as a few cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in passing by her father, El Pinson; her mother, May Pinson; her sister, Virginia Ready; and her step-daughter, Rani Baeddel.
Helen's life story is one of unwavering love and commitment to her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those she touched. The memories shared, the wisdom imparted, and the kindness she spread will remain as guiding lights for her loved ones.
A viewing for Helen will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 6:00 P.M.to 8:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton followed by her graveside at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville.
