Gwen Elaine Browning, known to her friends and family as Elaine, passed away peacefully, surrounded
by loved ones. Born on October 15, 1962, in Norfolk, VA, Elaine was a loving and dedicated mother,
grandmother, sister, and friend. Throughout her life, she touched the lives of countless individuals with
her kind heart, unwavering faith, and strong work ethic.
Elaine is survived by her devoted son, Thomas Browning and his wife, Rachel, her cherished daughters, Danielle Browning McSweeney and her husband, Andrew, and Rachel Browning Hart and her husband, Walter, her siblings Annabelle Yim, Mike Campbell, Jay Fung, Clarence Fung, Liz Mullenax, Gail Reeves, and their families, and her adored grandchildren, Edmond Walter Hart, Everett Thomas McSweeney, Emersyn Marie Browning, and Everly Elizabeth McSweeney. Elaine's family was her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her unconditional love and support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Elaine earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her education laid the foundation for
an impressive career in financial services, spanning over 40 years. Elaine's colleagues and clients
respected her for her expertise, professionalism, and integrity. Her commitment to excellence in her
field made her a valuable asset to her company and a trusted advisor to her clients.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Elaine was an active member of her church and her
community. She volunteered her time and talents to numerous charitable organizations. Her strong faith
was an integral part of her life, guiding her actions and providing her with a sense of purpose and
direction. Elaine's unwavering commitment to her faith and her desire to serve others was an inspiration
to all who knew her.
Elaine's interests extended beyond her professional and religious pursuits. She was an avid reader,
enjoyed traveling, and cherished time spent with family and friends. Elaine's warm and inviting
personality made her a favorite among her many social circles, and she was always ready to lend a
helping hand or offer a kind word. Her generous spirit and loving nature will be remembered fondly by

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Elaine's name to her church or
a charity of one's choice. This gesture will not only honor her memory but also continue her lifelong

A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday July 1, 2023 at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Belton.
