George M. Smith

George M. Smith,84, of Belton passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his residence. A private family services will be held at a later date. George was born on June 14,1933 to Wilbur and Goldie Smith. He worked septic tank installation and maintenance most of his life. George enjoyed fishing and doing yard work. He was a hardworking man and loved spending time his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Goldie Smith; his wife, Madeline "Humpa" Smith in 2003; his brothers, Jesse smith,Denny Smith, Jerry Smith, Henry Smith, Romey Smith, Wilbur Smith, and Robert Smith; his sisters, Maxiene Ward, Violet Ward, and Alice Ward. George is survived by his sons, George M. Smith ,and Jeff Smith of Belton; his daughter, Carbella Brown of Belton; his loving companion of over 14 years, Ella Gross of Belton; his sister, Rocky Taggart of Belton; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
