George William Kelley,74, of Temple, a dedicated lifetime mechanic who worked for various companies, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 26, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1950. Throughout his life, George was known for his passion for race cars and spent countless hours indulging in this hobby. His love for race cars brought joy to those around him, and expertise as a mechanic was greatly admired by many.
George will be fondly for his warm personality and the love he had for spending time with his family and friends. His kind and joyful spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Kelley of Temple, along with a large circle of family and friends.
He is now reunited heaven with his parents, George Christian Kelley and Dorothy Marie Lawson Kelley; his brother, George Andrew Kelly; and granddaughter, Marrisa Kelley.
George's memory will be cherished by his remaining family members including his son, Michael Kelly of Temple; three brothers, Larry Kelly of Belton, Gale Kelley of Temple and Dale Kelley of Mineral Wells ; one sister, Pamela Harrison of Belton; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
George William Kelley will forever be remembered for his dedication to his work as a mechanic, his love for race cars, and most importantly, the love he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
