Brother George Wesley Armstrong, 83, of Belton passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in a local hospital. George was born to Edgar and Pauline Armstrong on October 16, 1935 in San Saba, Texas. He was a United States Army veteran and worked as a contractor or carpenter. Brother Armstrong was called to serve the Lord and so he worked as a pastor for over 47 years. Brother Armstrong also enjoyed John Wayne, deer hunting, fishing on the lake, shopping at flea markets, and fellowshipping. He also had his own barbeque stand on 121 and Holland Road. Of everything, however, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home of Belton. Brother Armstrong is survived by his sons, David Armstrong of Belton, Marshall Armstrong of Rosharon, Steve Armstrong of Ft. Worth, Danny Armstrong of Euless, and Kris Armstrong of Temple; his daughter, Ramona Deane of Belton; his eleven and a half grandchildren, and his twelve great grandchildren. Brother Armstrong is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Ellavee Ivy, Beanie Mae Spradling, and Betty Ann Pratcher; his brothers Derwood Berry and Pete Berry.
