Frank John Dodge, 66, of Harker Heights passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at a local hospital.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with H.K. Ballard officiating.
Frank John Dodge was born on September 18, 1955, to John and Mary Dodge in Fort Campbell, KY. He joined to U.S. Army in 1974 and received a National Defense Service Metal and Sharpshooter. During his service he received training in Tact Micro Systems Operations and management. He was a talented musician and loved playing the guitar. He was in a band called Crocodile Smile Inc. Frank always had to be busy doing something. He wasn’t the type that enjoyed sitting still. In the last fifteen years of his life, Frank found God and let go of all his burdens. He finally became the man he wanted to be. Frank was known for always putting others before himself and always worrying about everyone. His family will miss him dearly.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Dodge, his sons, Shawn Michael Dodge, Joshua Paul Dodge, and his sister, Helen Lola Dodge.
He is survived by ex-wife, Karen Ball of Harker Heights, his daughter, Kimberly Dodge of Harker Heights, his son, Steven Dodge of Fort White, FL, his four grandchildren, Caitlyn Reich, Uriah Reich, Tessa Manning, and Draven Manning, and two great-grandchildren, Aramay Selene Reich and Kieran Nickolai Reich.
Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
