Floyd Waymon Davis, 49, of Temple passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Nolan Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Darren Rich officiating followed by a burial at McDowell Cemetery of Belton. Floyd Waymon Davis was born on August 30, 1965 to James and Martha Davis in Fort Gordon, GA. He was a truck driver most of his life and married Sharon (Gould) Davis on April 1, 2005. He loved his dog Tut, and his granddogs, Abbie, Ivory, and Sassy. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, James Davis in 1993 and his brother, Michael Davis in 2003. Floyd is survived by his mother, Martha Davis; loving wife, Sharon Davis; one son, James Levi Davis of Utah; one stepson, Cody Ray Gould of Groesbeck; two daughters, Sammie and husband, Shane Hightower of Temple, and Cecila Davis of Utah; one nephew, Michael Lee Davis of Gatesville. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Nolan Valley Baptist Church of Belton. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home of Belton.
