Esmay Cecilia Marie Lopez

Esmay Cecilia Marie Lopez, 13, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 in a local hospital. Esmay was born to Jessica and Richard Lopez on May 8, 2006 in Temple, Texas. Esmay was a student at South Belton Middle School, where she was proud to be the mascot. She was such an outgoing girl, who could light up the room with her humor and her smile. Esmay loved to sing and dance, especially hitting ""the whoa"" at the most opportune times. She always surrounded herself with many friends and was known to be the life of the party. A visitation for Esmay will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Belton Nazarene Church. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Belton Nazarene Church with Reverend Derek Whitten officiating. The family encourages everyone to wear Belton gear or the color red to honor Esmay's school pride. Cremation will take place following services. Esmay is survived by her parents; her brothers, Jakob and Sylas Lopez, both of Belton; her grandparents, Vernon and Gertrude Behlert, and Richard and Patricia Lopez; and her great grandmother Mary Lopez.
