Ernest ""Ernie"" George March Jr.

Ernest ""Ernie"" George March Jr., 76, of Harker Heights passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at a Temple hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Harker Heights with Pastor David Whitley officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Ernest George March Jr. was born November 18, 1938 to Ernest and Mabel March in Somerville, Mass. He served in the Navy and married the love of his life Carolyn March on June 2, 1961 in Malden, Mass. Ernie was a custom exhaust fabricator most of his life. He enjoyed die cast cars and building model trains, planes, and cars. Ernie was a military historian and a big collector of 50's memorabilia. He loved movies and spending time with his family. Ernie never met a stranger and was above all a patriot. Ernest ""Ernie"" George March Jr., is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Carolyn March of Harker Heights; one son, Ernest George March III of Melbourne, FL; one daughter, Rhonda Hopwood of Troy; one sister, Frances Chinn of Wakefield, Mass; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
