Eraclio Campos Gonzalez

Eraclio Campos Gonzalez, lovingly known as "Shorty," passed away on October 26, 2024, in Coahuila, Mexico, at the age of 64. He was born on October 28, 1959, in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico to Timoteo Campos and Rosa Gonzalez , Eraclio dedicated most of his life to the noble profession of farming. He worked for Kraemer Farms and Sherrick Farms in agriculture. 

Shorty celebrated ST. Jude every October for his birthday in his home town of Fresnillo cooking a huge meal for the community. He loved to barbeque for all celebrations from quinceanera's to weddings never expecting anything in return. He was a very giving and caring man. 

He was a member of the Knight's of Columbus and a member of St. Mathews Catholic Church in Rogers.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 42 years, Maria Isabel Campos of Buckholts. They married on August 18, 1982 in Cameron, Texas. Together, they nurtured a family that remains a testament to his character. Eraclio was the proud father of two sons, Eraclio "Rocky" Campos and wife Emily of Rogers, Miguel Campos and wife Nicole of Rogers, Rosalva Campos and husband Edger of Rogers, and Pamela Campos of Arkansas. He also cherished the roles of grandfather to ten grandchildren, bringing joy and unity to the family gatherings he so cherished.

Eraclio held dear the memories created on holidays, which were always special occasions for him. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, his laughter and sense of humor will never be forgotten.

In addition to his immediate family, Eraclio is survived by his brothers, Bernardo Campos, Armando Campos, Timoteo Campos all of Rogers. Roberto Campos, Lauro Campos and Manuel Campos  all of Mexico as well as his sisters, Carmela Laureano of Cameron, Rosa Campos of Denver, CO., and Azusena Puente of Fresnillo, Zacatecas, all of whom join in mourning his loss. He will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Timoteo Campos Sr. and Rosa Campos Gonzalez,  two brothers, Jose de Jesus Campos Gonzalez and Leonel Campos.

A mass will be held on Friday November 1, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mathews Catholic Church in Rogers with father Rafael Padilla officiating.

 A viewing will take place on Thursday October 31, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a rosary will be recited from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.   Eraclio will be laid to rest at Rogers Cemetery following services.

Eraclio Campos will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him.
