Emery ""Buddy"" Calvin Roberts Sr.

Emery ""Buddy"" Calvin Roberts Sr., 70, of Belton passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Buddy was born on May 13, 1948 to Dempsey and Velma Roberts in Belton. He worked in commercial trucking most of his life and retired from the City of Belton Sanitation department. He met Barbara Fader in elementary school and married her on November 15, 1976 in Belton. Together they had six children and were married over 43 years. Buddy enjoyed fishing, hunting, sitting is his chair smoking cigars, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey and Velma Roberts, his brothers, Carlos ""Red"" Roberts and Marvin Roberts, and his sister, Janice Wolff. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Roberts of Belton; his sons, Emery Roberts Jr. of Belton, Billy Roberts of Belton, and Bobby Roberts of Moffatt; his daughters, Barbara Shelton of Nolanville, Beth Roberts of Belton, and Becky Roberts of Belton; his sisters, Ruth Lenora Ward of Belton, Betty Jean Williams of Round Rock, and Ruby Lee Drake of Thorndale; nine grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
