Dortha Mae Putnam

Dortha Mae (Payne) Putnam, 85, of Temple passed away on Saturday, August 06, 2016 at a Temple hospital. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Crotty Funeral Home in Belton. Dortha was born on July 01, 1931 to Lawrence and Rosa Lee Payne in Pellville, KY. She married Andrew Putman on June 04, 1985 in Virginia. She worked for the Hospice Thrift Store for eleven years. She loved sewing, playing bingo, shopping, flowers and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Putnam, of Temple; three sons, Terry McDaniel, of Troy; Delmar Ritchey, of Morgan's Point and Ivory McDaniel; six daughters, Marcella Lockwood, of Portage, IN; Sheila Carnahan, of Eddy, TX; Patricia Robbins, of Valdosta, GA; Mary Placente, of Temple, TX; Lavonne Williams, of Schertz, TX; And Lesa Sailors, of Gary, IN; thirty-five grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
