Donald Eugene Burgess, 78, of Mexico, Maine passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at a Belton Care Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.Father John Kim of Christ The King Catholic Church of Belton will be officiating. His body was cremated. He was born on November 28, 1936 to Celand and Ella Virgin Burgess. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1957. He married Brandy Simard on July 28, 1958 in Rumford, Maine. Mr. Burgess worked for the United Parcel Service from 1975 until his retirement in 1995. Survivors are his wife Brandy Burgess of Harker Heights; one son, Todd Burgess of Paradise Valley, AZ.; two daughters, Michelle Cole of Harker Heights and Wendy Light of Kingsland, GA.; one brother, Frank Burgess of Peru, Maine; four sisters, Virginia Stickney of Dixfield, Maine, June Weeks of Mexico, Maine, Barbara Smith and Jean Volkernick both of Rumford, Maine; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
