Denny Lou Blass,74,of Temple passed away on Friday June 21, 2024, in a Temple hospital surrounded by her family.. She was born on January 4, 1950, in Belton, Texas to Gene and Rose Nell Tally Henson.

She married Thomas Blass on August 12, 1972 and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2012. He always gave her star gazer lilies on their anniversary which remained her favorite flower. 

Denny was a 25 year Mary Kay Consultant. She loved her career. She obtained her GED in 1984. She owned and operated a floral Shop named Blass Floral & Gifts in Salado from 1994 until 1999. She also loved to crochet, cooking and baking, cake decoration, music and dancing to any two step or waltz, Old musical movies, Doris Day and Elvis, playing guitar, traveling, spending time with her family during game night and dominoes and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved Pet Daisy. Denny's life was marked by her warm personality and endless love for her family. Her proudest accomplishments were being a devoted mother and Mema. Denny's kind heart and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Denny is remembered with love by her surviving family, one son, Thomas Blass Jr. of Temple; daughters, Cheryl Caballero and husband, Thomas of Corpus Christi, Laurie Burrier-Kissire and husband Randy of Thedford, NE.; twin brother, Mike Roe and wife, Shirley of Rock Port ,one sister, Dwinell Hohle of New Braunfels. She is also survived by nine grandchildren - Aron, Kira, Emily, Lacie, Ashley, Haley, Joshlynn, Kendall, and Corben - as well as three great-grandchildren: Cadence, Teagan, Aaliah and one great grandchild on the way.

.A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00A.M. Thursday  at Temple Bible Church in Temple, Texas with Pastor H.K. Ballard officiating. 

The family request anyone that can to wear Pink to the service in honor of Denny and her love for Mary Kay.

In remembrance of Denny's vibrant spirit and loving nature, may we all find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
