Dennis Pagan

Dennis Pagán, known affectionately as Dennis to his friends and family, brought laughter and light to the world during his vibrant 70 years of life. Born on the 27th of November, 1953, in the warm and welcoming town of Guayama, Puerto Rico, Dennis carried the spirit of his homeland with him all the way to Killeen, Texas, where he took his final bow on the 28th of May, 2024, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. 

Dennis was the living embodiment of joy, a man who could find humor in any situation. He often joked, "I'm not arguing, I'm just explaining why I'm right," a sentiment that brought chuckles to many and perfectly encapsulated his playful approach to life. This quote, reminiscent of the witty quips of well-liked celebrity Mark Twain, echoed Dennis's own philosophy that a day without laughter was a day wasted. He wasn't just the life of the party; he built the stage on which the party danced, quite literally. Dennis's career as a construction contractor was marked by the same precision and passion he brought to every facet of his life. His buildings stood as strong and dependable as his character, and his colleagues knew him as a man who could brighten even the cloudiest day with his humor. Dennis's high school years laid the foundation for a lifetime of friendships and memories. He was the guy who could turn a dull class into an unforgettable one, leaving a legacy of smiles and stories behind. His sense of humor was only matched by his ability to lay down a winning hand at the domino table, a pastime he not only enjoyed but also excelled at, much to the playful chagrin of his friends and family. 

His heart belonged to his beloved wife, Ivelisse Cintrón, who stood by him through all of life's ups and downs. Together, they raised a family full of love and laughter, with children Maggie Pagán, Julia Cancino, Carlos Pagán, Ana Fuentes, and Dennis Pagán Jr., each inheriting their father's warmth, humor, and friendly spirit. Dennis was a proud patriarch, surrounded by a bustling household that included many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, all of whom were touched by his loving nature. Dennis's love for music was as expansive as his collection of jokes. Whether he was listening to the classics or discovering new tunes, music was the soundtrack to his life's most memorable moments. His laughter often filled the room, as infectious as the melodies he adored. Friends and family remember Dennis as the man who could light up a room with his presence. He was loving, funny, and friendly-the trifecta of a life well-lived. His ability to weave a tale, crack a joke, or offer a kind word made him a cherished companion and an unforgettable character in the story of so many lives. In the spirit of Dennis's unwavering positivity, we celebrate his journey rather than mourn his departure. His legacy is one of joy, camaraderie, and an unshakeable zest for life that will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dennis Pagán may have exited stage left, but the echoes of his laughter will resonate forever in the hearts of those he loved.
