Daniel Wayne Decker

Daniel Wayne Decker, 65 of Whitney passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at North Belton Cemetery with Chaplain Rick Pinner officiating. His body was cremated. Daniel was born in McAllen, Texas to Don and Dona Horn Decker. He receive a master's degree in education and worked as a teacher for many years. Daniel was currently working as jailer for the Hill County Sheriff's Department and has been for almost 15 years. He was an avid A&M football fan. Daniel enjoyed hunting, camping, and bike riding. He is survived by his brothers, David Decker, Douglas Decker, both of Belton; his nephew, David Keith Decker and wife, Jennifer of Las Vegas; nieces, Alesha Dawnell Newby and husband, Gary of Ft. Worth, Tara Leigh Decker of Belton, and Tasha Renee Decker of Belton. He is preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home and Cremation services in Belton.
