Graveside service for Clinton Harvey Shed, Sr will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at North Belton Cemetery with Pastor Roger Petty officiating.
Clinton passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023, in Belton, Texas, just shy of his 83rd birthday. Born on June 20, 1940, in Copperas Cove, Texas, Clinton was a lifelong resident of the Lone Star State and left a lasting impact on the lives of his family and friends.
Clinton was the son of the late George Harvey (Hobb) Shed, Jr. and Manda Savannah Whitehead.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Peggy Sue Webster Shed and a son, Richard William Shed.
He is survived by his son, Clinton Harvey Shed, Jr. and his wife Becky of Belton; his daughter, Melissa Shed and her wife Pamela of Belton; his sister, Mazella Vardeman of Blum, Texas; and his sister, Alice Rhoades of Sweetwater, Texas.
Throughout his life, Clinton was a hardworking and dedicated individual. He owned and operated Shed's Construction. Clinton’s passion for his work was evident in the countless successful projects he completed. Clinton was a proud Mason and a member of the Bell County Sheriff's Posse. His dedication and commitment to the Posse earned him the great honor of being inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame, a testament to his lifelong passion for the cowboy way of life. Clinton's interests extended beyond his work and involvement with the Sheriff's Posse. He was a true Texan at heart and loved working his cattle, riding horses, and being a skilled mechanic. Clinton's ability to fix just about anything endeared him to his friends and neighbors, who knew they could rely on him for help. Clinton's greatest joy in life was his family, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, passing on his wisdom.
Visitation will be 5 PM to 7 PM Monday, June 12, 2023 at Crotty Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Belton, Texas.
As we remember and celebrate the life of Clinton Harvey Shed, Sr., let us take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth of the Texas sun and the open plains he so dearly cherished.
