Chevious Dallas Nelson

Chevious Dallas Nelson,73, of Temple passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Chevious was born on October 4, 1946 to James and Ethel Nelson in Jacksonville. He served in the Army and worked as a truck driver for most of his life. Chevious married the love of his life, Shirley Nelson on November 16,1968. He liked to make people laugh and would even say, ""I'm Mr. Chevious not Miss. Chevious."" Chevious enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, drinking black coffee, smoking Marlboro Reds, and spending time with his family. Waiting for him in Heaven is his wife, Shirley Nelson; his parents, James and Ethel Nelson; his sisters, Martha Nelson and Billy Ruth. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Delarosa of Temple, and Tammy Leger of Sulphur, LA; his son, Chris Nelson and wife Sarah of Temple; his brothers, David Nelson of Rusk, Daniel Nelson, William Nelson, both of Jacksonville, James Earl Nelson of Alabama, and Wesley Nelson of Sugarland; his sister, Sarah Nelson of Jacksonville; and five cherished grandchildren.
