Charles ""Chuck"" Johnston

Charles ""Chuck"" Johnston, 77, of Kempner passed away on Monday April 16, 2012 at a Copperas Cove nursing home. Private family services will be held at a later date. His body was cremated. Mr. Johnston was born on September 25, 1934 in Lone Oak , Texas. He joined the U.S. Armyin 1952 and served as a medic. After separation in 1961 he worked as a surgical tech before going into the lifelong cattle business. He met and married Barbara Fox on November 15, 1968 in Dallas. Survivors are his wife, Barbara Johnston of Kempner; one son, Wayne Johnston and wife Holly of Kirbyville, TX.; four daughters, Teresa Kaiser and husband John of North Carolina, Susan Wilson and husband James of Plano, TX, Wanda Hamilton and husband James of West Tawakoni,TX and Betty DeGrauwe of Wichita Falls, TX.; eight grandchildren, Doug Curry and Makayla Johnston both of Kirbyville, TX, Kelly, Rich, Harper, Sammie, Amber and Chris.
