Caroline Rose March

Caroline "Carolyn" Rose March, 78, of Harker Heights passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in a local hospital. Caroline was born to Caroline "Lena" and Orazio DeSimone on July 3, 1942 in Brookline, Massachusetts. Caroline spent her days raising her family and doing receptionist work for her and her husband's business. Caroline was a loving woman who cared for all, always giving greeting cards for the simplest of reasons. She was a very active member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Harker Heights, often working with the youth. Caroline loved gardening, sewing, and doing crafts. She had a very distinct laugh and her famous line was "Holy Hannah." She was so loved by all and will be dearly missed.

A visitation for Caroline will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church in Harker Heights. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastor David Whitley officiating. Cremation will take place following services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Pallbearers will be Paul Hopwood, Don Grundy, Steve Costable, Josh Whitley, Joe Best, and Phil Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers include Mark Sousa, Ernie March, Stephen Leavitt, and Jack Hedges.

Caroline is survived by her son, Ernest G. March III and wife Lori of W. Palm Bay, FL; her daughter, Rhonda L. Hopwood and husband Paul of Troy; her brother, Ralph DeSimone of Arizona; her eight grandchildren; her eight great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

Caroline is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest March Jr. who passed in 2015, and her grandson, Kurt Russell Sousa who passed in 1986.
