Carmen Joyce Bilse

Carmen Joyce Bilse, 78, of Killeen passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in a local hospital. Carmen was born to Clara and Vernon Holmen on October 30, 1941 in Rice Lake, WI. Carmen married her husband Marvin Robert Bilse on June 30, 1962. She worked as a financial counselor for Texas A&M. Carmen was an avid member of Grace Lutheran Church. Because of the current pandemic, a funeral service and repast will be announced at a later date and will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Killeen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials, if desired, be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 1007 Bacon Ranch Rd, Killeen, TX 76542, or a charity of your choice. Carmen is survived by her son, Corey Bilse and wife Brittani of Austin; her daughter, Heidi Jackson and husband Patrick of Cibolo; her six grandchildren, Brady Bilse, Charlie Bilse, Tilly Bilse, Hannah Jackson, Alexander Jackson, and Christen Jackson and spouse Michael Smilovici; and her three great grandchildren, Isaiah Smilovici, Shally Smilovici, and Tiferet Smilovici. Carmen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 54 years, Marvin Bilse. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
