Carlene McDonald

Carlene McDonald, 82, of Temple passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at a local hospital. Carlene was born on May 5, 1937 to Russell and Lizzie McDonald in Moody. She enjoyed walking, writing stories for the Moody Courier, singing, playing the piano, gospel hymns, collecting trinkets, drinking Dr. Peppers, and attending the First Baptist Church of Moody. Carlene is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lizzie McDonald; her siblings, Benjamin Franklin McDonald, Mary Wanda Dayton, Betty Lou Webb, Sammy Dee McDonald; her nephew, Russell Dayton, and her niece, Margaret Dayton. She is survived by her nephews, Larry Webb and Richard Webb both of Waco; her nieces, Charlotte LeMay of Plano, Deborah Schoen of Killeen, Bennie Bragewitz of Temple, and Cecil Pope of Temple. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Crotty Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Shelton officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Buckhorn Cemetery in Moody. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the first Baptist Church of Moody. Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home Cremation Services of Belton.
