Callie Edwina Brown

Callie Edwina Brown ,74, of Belton passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at Crotty Funeral Home with a visitation held two hours prior from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery in Moffat. Callie was born on November 6, 1943 to Charlie and Selma Drake in Temple. She married her husband Jack Brown on June 27, 1960 in Belton, TX. She worked as a police officer for seven years and for Walmart for over sixteen years. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Selma Drake; her husband, of over 45 years, Jack Brown; her son, Bobby Brown; her brothers, Ernest Drake, Nere Nathaniel Drake, Robbie Marsette Drake, and Billy Joe Drake. Callie is survived by her son, Jackie Dale Brown Sr. of Temple; her brother, Mackie Lee Drake of Sheridan, TX; her sisters, Anna Lois Schroder of Franklin, TX, Carol Hobbs of Sheridan, TX, Charlsie Smith of Vidor, TX; and Kathy Lynn Deviller of Vidor, TX; four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
