Brianna Reece Bare

Brianna Reece Bare, 17, of Harker Heights passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Seton Medical Center. Brianna was born on September 20, 2000, to Joshua and Victoria Bare in Fort Bragg, NC. In her short lifetime, she lived in North Carolina, Alabama, Texas, New Mexico, and the Bavarian State of Germany. She loved art--enjoying painting and drawing. She was an avid reader who enjoyed poetry by Edgar Allan Poe. She was a junior at Harker Heights High School where she studied Spanish, Sociology, Human Growth and Development, Arts, and Pre-Ap US History. Her constant companion was her best friend and boyfriend Riley Farris. Together they were making plans for a future together with careers in music and psychology. When she was not with Riley, she was with Lynese Gilbert sharing likes about the latest Instagram postings. During her stay in Germany, she traveled to many parts of Europe where she enjoyed the festivals and shopping with her Mom. Some of the best times of her life were traveling to Albuquerque to spend the holidays with her grandparents and family. She is survived by her parents, Joshua and Victoria Bare, her older brother John Bare; her grandparents of Albuquerque, NM, Britt and Karen Bare, John and Virginia Benavides; her uncle Jacob Bare of Nashville, TN; her aunt Angela and uncle Matthew Pacheco of Albuquerque, NM; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation, 5431 US-190, Belton, TX, on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.; Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 17th, at Destiny Outreach, 101 N. W. S., Young Dr., Killeen, TX, 76543, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Maria Santiago Officiating. A private family interment at Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen on Monday, May 21, 2018.
