Brenda Kay Lasly, 82, of Temple, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Temple, Texas, on March 6, 2025.
Born on January 27, 1943, in Temple, she lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Brenda dedicated 25 years of her career at the W.R. Poage Building, where she became known for her warm presence and kindness.
Family meant everything to Brenda. She found profound joy in spending time with her loved ones, and sharing long talks. She often spent joyful afternoons sitting at the kitchen table, lost in her favorite puzzles. Her laughter and warm heart will forever linger in the memories of her family and friends.
Brenda had a zest for life and a love for music. She was often found attending jamborees, concerts, and music events. In addition to her musical passions, she cherished her dogs and thoroughly enjoyed circle word puzzles.
A proud member of the Church of Christ in Troy, Brenda found solace in her faith, which guided her through life's journey.
Brenda is lovingly remembered by her family, including her daughter, Cindy K. Levingston; her son, Ronald Dean Lasly; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love.
She is reunited in spirit with her husband, Marvin E. Lasly, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2016. Their bond exemplified true companionship, and now they are together again, watching over their family from above.
A graveside service to honor her beautiful life will be held on March 11, 2025, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple, Texas. The service will begin at 10:30 AM, allowing all who loved her to celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
Brenda Kay Lasly will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for her loving nature, infectious spirit, and the countless lives she touched during her time with us. Her legacy of love, laughter, and family bonds will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
