Bobby "Bob-Bob" Roberts

Bobby Gene Roberts, 75, of Killeen, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at a local hospital in Temple.

A graveside service will be 11:30 AM Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Florence Cemetery with Ryan Morrison officiating.

Bobby Gene Roberts or “Bob-Bob” to his grandchildren and family, was born on May 4, 1947, to Edgar and Marie Roberts in Austin, Texas. He loved being with others. Whether it was on the lake fishing or in the kitchen baking his famous pecan pies for friends and family. Bob was a lifelong UT fan and passionate about watching his Longhorns play. Always the ultimate craftsman and master carpenter. After retirement, Bob had a passion for making beautiful handmade furniture which gained him quite the following and maybe more work than he anticipated. Bob believed in hard work and doing things the right way. Anyone who knew Bob would tell you he was truly a “jack of all trades”. To many there was nothing he couldn’t do. Bob touched so many lives by simply lending a hand. We will miss calling him for advice and most of all, his company.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne “NeNe” Roberts on January 15, 2017; his parents, Edgar and Marie Roberts; three brothers, Wilber Roberts, Wayland Roberts and Donald Roberts and one sister, Janelle Roberts.

Bobby is survived by his daughters, Tammi Cooper and her husband, Bryce of Rochelle, TX and Keni Somerville and her husband, Doug of Midlothian, TX; his son, Cully Reding and his wife, Kristy of Kempner, TX; a brother, Weldon Roberts and wife Angie of Georgetown, TX; a sister, Reba Schweers of Spring, TX; his grandchildren, Ryan Morrison and his wife, Angela of Covington, Katy Watts and her husband, Chase of Midlothian, TX, Kreece Cooper and his wife, Ashton of Rochelle, TX,  Morgan Cooper of Rochelle, TX, Cally Reding of Kempner, TX; his great grandchildren, Hudson Hays Morrison, Savvy Jane Morrison, Hayes Morgan Cooper, Caroline Kate Watts, many cherished family members, and friends.
