Betty Jo Tucker, 88, of Harker Heights passed away on Friday May 13, 2016 at a Harker Heights hospital. Services will be held on Thursday May 19, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church of Troy with Rev. Harlan R. Haines officiating. Betty Jo Tucker was born on November 18, 1927 to Horace and Temperance Ozona Vickers. She was widowed in 1999 and spent most of her life as a homemaker. Her hobbies were oil painting, art and literature. Betty loved old classic movies. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy. Survivors are three sons David Chaney, Michael Chaney of Killeen and Pete Martinez and wife Cynthia of Cedar Park,TX.; three daughters, Laura Lilly and husband David of Round Rock, Martha Hemingway and husband Jack of Harker Heights and Elizabeth Copeland and husband Wes of Killeen; one brother, Hugh Vickers of Globe, AZ.; two sisters, Tennie Davis and Sue Bilson both of Globe, AZ.; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
