Barton Dan Guthrie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barton Dan Guthrie, a man known for his warm smile and infectious laughter. Barton, born on February 23, 1955 in Temple, TX, peacefully left this world on July 12, 2024.

Barton's caring nature and genuine love for his family defined him in life, bringing light and joy to all those around him. He found solace in the simple pleasures of tending to his yard and enjoying his favorite pastimes, especially watching westerns and football.

Barton was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, including his twin sister, Barbara Brooks.

Leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness, Barton is survived by his brothers, Alvin Franklin Guthrie, Kenneth Ray Guthrie, Richard Raymond Guthrie, Roy Clayton Guthrie, Rodney Guthrie; sister Debbie Lee Teeter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who held a place in his heart.
