Antonia Sawberger Reed

Antonia Sawberger Reed, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away at the age of 75 at a Temple hospital on December 13, 2023.

A graveside service for Antonia will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

She was born on July 26, 1948, to Annie M. Kizer and Manzy Sawberger in Temple, Texas.

Antonia will be remembered as a devoted mother and for her dedicated career of 13 years with Temple ISD.

Outside of her professional life, Antonia's true joy came from spending time with her family. She cherished every moment shared with her loved ones, always ensuring that their bonds grew stronger over time.

On April 6, 1968, Antonia embarked on a lifelong journey of love and partnership as she married David A. Reed in Temple, Texas, he preceded her in death. Their union was built on a foundation of mutual respect and unwavering devotion.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Frank W. Sawberger.

Antonia's memory will continue to live on through her surviving family members who hold onto cherished memories and values passed down by their beloved matriarch. Her two daughters, Angela Reed and Paula A. Reed Torres, and her husband, Jaysen, her granddaughter, Trinity A. Garcia, and her husband, Gonzalo, her great grandson, Antonio  C. Garcia, and Roy R. Jamison, her devoted dear friend of over 23 years.

Antonia Sawberger Reed will be fondly remembered for her unwavering love for others - a reflection of her selfless and nurturing character. Her absence will be deeply felt by all those who had the honor of knowing her.
