Anthony "Tony" Ross Williams-Ellis

July 17, 1990 — January 30, 2022

Staff Sergeant Anthony “Tony” Ross Williams-Ellis, 31, of Copperas Cove, passed away on January 30, 2022, at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 5431 W. U.S. Hwy 190 in Belton, Texas. His graveside service with full honors will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Dallas- Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Anthony “Tony” Ross Williams-Ellis was born on July 17, 1990, to Wayne M. Ellis and Julie E. Williams in Boise, ID. Tony was an adventurous child who loved animals and exploring his ranch home in Weiser, Idaho. He joined the military between his junior and senior years in high school. After basic training, Tony returned to Payette high school to finish his senior year, and in computer class, he met his wife, Jessica.

He served the army with bravery and loyalty in 91A Abrams System Maintenance. Serving his country was a passion of Tony’s. He was a skilled mechanic, and it showed in his work. He was excellent at his job, you could ask anyone he worked with. He was a tinker at heart with a genius to figure out how things worked easily fixing the most broken things.

Tony and Jessica were married on December 28, 2009. They had four children together, Joseph, Julian, Joshua, and Alyssa, whom Tony deeply loved.  His hobbies were fishing, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family. Tony loved to take his kids on adventures, usually bringing home a stray they rescued. He passed his love of animals onto his children.

Tony will be deeply missed by all who knew him. They will miss his jokes; Tony had a unique way of making someone laugh even if they were sad or in a bad mood. We will miss him deeply, but we will find him in places here on earth. We will see him in the stars and the moon and the smiles of his children. We will find him in the breeze and the rivers. We will find him in the roaring of laughter that makes our bellies hurt and our eyes water. We will find him in our adventurous hearts and the quiet places of nature. We will find him again and again on this earth until we finally see him once more when we meet him again.

Arrangements are entrusted to Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Belton.
